Puff pastry Egg Tarts recipe
This egg tart recipe is a request from ShaMein and my sis.
Ingredients for puff pastry (Serves 12):
Butter 150g
sugar 1/2 tsp
salt 1/2 teaspoon
cold water 80ml
High protein flour 50g
Low protein flour 150g
Filling:
5 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup of canned evaporated milk/whole milk
1 cup water
1/3 cup white sugar
Method:
Pastry:
1. Mix high and low protein flour,sugar and salt in a bowl.
2. Cut butter into 1 cm cube size each, then combine with (1).
3. Stir in cold water, butter still remain in the same cube shape.
4. Rub the butter cube into the ingredients.
5. Divide dough into two, use hands to press one of the dough first, then press the other one separately.
6. Place the on top of each, press them together and fold them 3-4 times.
7. Use cling wrap to cover the dough and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
8. Remove it from refridgerator.
9. Make small balls out of the pastry flour by kneading well.
10. Place them into buttered tart molds.
Filling:
1. Boil sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved.
2. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
3. Strain the beaten eggs through a sieve and whisk into the cooled sugar mixture. Stir well.
4. Add in vanilla extract,evaporated milk/whole milk.
5. Fill the tart shell.
6. Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes at 200 degree.
7. Remove from oven.

Reza's Belated Birthday Celebration
Yesterday, we had belated birthday dinner with Reza at B.B.Q. City Korean Restaurant.
Later we walked to Passion Flower Dessert Cafe for dessert to satisfy our sweet-tooth.
Although we did not have enough belly room for 'extra' food after the dinner, BUT we wont resist when it came to sweets! LOL!!!yum yum~~~

B.U.S.Y.
今天,官清忠传道在崇拜分享信息里,他提到许多现今时代所面对的争议话题,其中我个人觉得最有意思的就是 BUSY 这个字啦。他说道:“人常常说 I'm busy,“我很忙” 等等的..well 到底有多忙叻?
官传道说BUSY这个字不可以乱用,它含义可大了。怎么说?

可怕吧?这一切都是撒坦打的如意算盘,它就是透过世俗事让人常常忙东忙西,忙到不可开交,导致人远离神,也牺牲了人与神的时间。
反省吧大家!人本来就只是过客,不属于这世界的。我们应该想念天国的事不是吗?

Saturday night
Sandra and i ordered 2 Giant pork ribs. I was shocked when the waiter placed it in front of me. I was like.."oh dear, this is HUGE, how i 'm gonna finish it!" This is definitely not a place for vegetarians!!!
Mable ordered Filet Mignon. Its portion just allright.
Elaine ordered the famous Angus Pie..Looks yummy,tasted yummy too!
Later we finished that perfect evening dinner with desserts at Lindt's Chocolat Cafe which is one my favourite cafe. We ordered 2 waffles. The waffles were served with a pot of melted lindt milk chocolate and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
Mable ordered a Lindt Excellence tart.
These are my take-away goodies- Hazelnut and dark Chocolate Delices. They are my top favourite. I bought 2 of each. There are also many other flavours available: lemon, coffee, milk chocolate, champagne, strawberry and Pistachio, Well, there left only 2 delices in the box coz i already eaten 2..lol^^
It was so great to hang out with good friends and had a great dining outside. Oh dear~there goes my staying thin plans..i need to do more exercise and eat less this week!!!

A trip to Hobart
Have been abandoning my blog lately. Finally i 'm back with updates, updates and more updates:)
I went to Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania last Monday and spent a week there. Well Hobart is a beautiful island but it's a bit quiet though, good place to study but not-a-very-good place to 'rock and roll'..lol...i would say not much things to do there so, during the stay in Hobart, i spent most of the time stayed at my sister's room to watch HongKong TVB series. But overall, I'm enjoying the time spent there..i love spending time with my sisters. oh i start missing them now!!!

We went to Port Arthur for one day trip. 5 of us went together-Lawrence, Shogo, Wee, Fong & me. I rent a car and drove to Port Arthur. I'm so proud of myself because this is my 1st time driving in Australia.

We stopped in Eaglehawk on our way to Port Arthur. Tessellated Pavement is the main tourist attraction of Eaglehawk. The picture on the left above is taken when we were on the way walking down the hill to Tessellated Pavement. We walked for 10 minutes then reached the destination.
We also went to the famous Salamanca Market which only opens on Saturday. More than 300 stallholders sell Tasmanian products, range from fresh daily fruits and vege to fine Tasmanian arts & crafts, and an array of odds and ends. We strolled around the area and tried the most popular sausage buns, tempura mushrooms, and bought some dried fruit leather. They are all very nice!
Thanks to Stanley and Xin Hui brought us to Fish Frenzy Restaurant to have dinner. we ordered Fish and Chips and a chicken Caesars salad. Then we went to Wrest Point Casino in Hobart. We didn't go there to gamble, just grab some free drinks and walked around!!lol
