G-Box happening in Miri

I must share about this.

I believe most of you have never heard about G-Box. It is something like the Samaritan's Pulse. G-box project is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the people in Sarawak (this is the first year, we only do in Miri) and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to them. The 'G' in G-Box for God, Gospel, Grace, Gift, Goodness. Sponsors will be given a shoebox and they buy Christmas presents that can fit into the shoebox for either boy or girl under 12 years old.

I am one of the volunteer incharge of promoting G-Box project in my church and collecting shoeboxes back from the sponsors when the collecting dates approach.

Mission Accomplished: shoeboxes that filled with presents that kids will definitely happy to receive.
Did you notice the thumb-up hand?! hehe

During the last weekend, I was busy collecting back all the shoeboxes from the registered sponsors. It was touched and thanksful when i see the sponsors have such a big heart and willing to share their love not only to those they know; but to those they have never seen..those kids in kampung. Thanks to them, these kids will have a different Christmas this year =P

最近耳边话题都是姐妹们在找作月婆。姐妹们都在抱怨说作月婆越来越少，好的越来越难找，即使找到了也被别人抢先一步预约了。我想会不会是生孩子的人多啊？！哎哟吓得我赶紧找我家婆帮我找了。

作月婆有日夜制（整天的）和半日制（8am-6pm）两种。我觉得我比较需要日夜制的诶。大家有任何意见吗? Please share~~

First visit to Gh

几天前（24/10）是我第一次到美里政府医院(Gh)做妇产检查。在这之前已在私人医院做了两次。由于前辈们的建议，我也不妨去Gh试试看。从抽血，验尿，量体重，排队拿号码到见医生，整个过程大概花两小时。还好老公陪我去不然我一个人在那里一定很不习惯。宝宝和妈妈都很健康，Nurse还传输我一些照顾宝宝的知识，还有免费的multi-vitamins拿。哈哈哈

我觉得Gh的服务态度还不错诶:) Remind me my next appointment will be November 23rd. 好兴奋哦因为很快又可以看到宝宝了。

It is already late midnight. My mood still cannot settled down. I don't know what should write and where should I begin....
I just cannot helped myself my tears kept dropping. The sad feeling has been following me whole day. I wanna get rid of it badly. It is about relationship between friends. I dunno, she might see this, but i really dont mind now. My friend, how i wish I didn't hear it by my own. I don't think you care how badly all these hurting me. And I think I shouldn't care too...

Sometimes i love to call my hubby Smurfy with no reason =p It just came out from my mouth. Before the latest 3D movie "THE SMURF" come on big screen, hubby told me that he was once been told by his high school friends he looks like one of the character in The Smurf. Maybe that's why i have that in mind and call him that :O

Pretty occupied

Erhemhem...it seems like I've been pretty occupied the months after my wedding to blog. Well, I have been occupied by many stuffs, especially my new status with a lot of bonding efforts need to be made and maintained =P; a lot of travelling, and not-to-mention that sometimes i keep myself occupied too. Okay I should have blog about all these u must say.

Actually i am still waiting for Fabulous Chapter my Actual-day wedding photographer to ready the photos. I suppose to get it sooner this week..hopefully!. Ok let me make you occupied too while reading my blog. I am proud to announce that IAN AND GRACE has done the pre-wedding photo shoot, just 2 days ago with JennySun the photographer; and our 'love story' engagement portraits with Shepherd Picture last week in KL. During the trips, I also found my morning and night gowns which i have been 'hunting' badly for. Believe me, it wasn't easy, but for us, the most important we truly had a great time working things together.

There are so many funny and fun things happened especially during the photo- shooting but i won't share it now. I reckon we shall all wait for the full post till i get the photos from the photographers. But hey, here's a teaser for you my fellow blog readers.

I must post up this set of photos which i taken during my trip to KK on January. It was something memorable because; it was the first family trip my family had together this year. The most interesting place i must share is the Mari-Mari Cultural Village in Inanam. 1st time visit, not bad oh. Ya, mari mari~

I get to know Yeelu (the only lady-in-black) and the 'gang' this year because they are Ian's close friends in hometown. I am so glad to mix around with them, especially when the master share their young time funny stories. So this one day, out of the blue, we decided to try something different which we always did, we visited Zaika, an Authentic North-Indian restaurant for Yeelu's late birthday celebration. The food was surprisingly good for a very affordable price. you know la we all very fussy one and sometimes quite picky about food and people~!!haha that is so true.

泰北之短宣心得分享

我一直都很期望有机会去宣教。终于今年九月份，我人生的第一个短宣就是和怀恩堂的一班弟兄姐妹到泰国北部少数民族阿卡族族群里去服侍。我感谢上帝赐给我这个美好机会，也很感谢上帝在整个过程中的看顾与保守，带领我们平安的去，也平安的回来。

为期七天的短宣之旅让我得着许多，最想与大家分享的就是我和其他三位队友(身穿白色t-shirt)有机会拜访的‘耶稣村’。耶稣村是宣教队较少去的阿卡族寨子，因为它位于较偏远的山区里，再加上崎岖的山路使到车子难行。其他分别是我们的司机 Brother Raymond（bottom right)，当地传道人还有我们的翻译员利晴(middle)。

耶稣村也就是‘耶稣的村’，住在这个村子里的人都是信奉基督教的。其实，他们大多数都是从别的寨子搬来的，就是因为他们信了耶稣，所以被寨子里其他不信主的人排挤，可怜的最后被赶出寨子。这些被赶出来的人或家庭就搬到耶稣村。一开始，信主的阿卡人并不多，所以耶稣村只有一两家人居住，但是后来上帝的名在阿卡族群中被兴起，有越来越多的阿卡人听到福音信了主，就这样，耶稣村有越来越多人搬来居住。

过去耶稣村原本是一片荒山野地，没水没电，也没有耕种。幸而如今成为了神大大赐福的土地，农业环境有所改善，村民所耕种的农作物可以取得微薄的收入，因而生活条件也逐渐改善了。

看到我们桌上的水果吗？是耶稣村出产的哦！

耶稣村有一间很漂亮的基督教堂，是村民们自己盖的。刚好我们上山拜访是星期天，所以有机会参加他们的主日崇拜。

耶稣村的主日崇拜呈现出一幅很美的画面。

我看到会众不管是大人还是小孩他们向上帝开口大声唱阿卡文诗歌的场面，没有太多的乐器伴奏，也不需要看歌词。

虽然我听不懂他们的语言，但是他们所献上的敬拜也带动我的心跟着他们一起歌颂神

当我在主日学里教导他们唱诗歌加上舞蹈动作时，因为他们不会听华语所以有点难度。因为这些孩子都没有机会学华文，也没有华文老师。但是孩子们都很认真很关注地学习，一下子就把整首诗歌给学会了。真感谢利晴帮我们翻译！

我祷求这些小孩在年幼直到老都忠心跟随主。祈求神在他们当中兴起愿意为主献身的，带领更多的族人信耶稣，归主名下。

这次的短宣让我再次坚定相信上帝爱世上每一个人。他的爱真是奇妙，能到达世界的每个角落。

虽然耶稣村里的人并不富裕，生活贫苦，但是他们内心有从神而来的平安和喜乐。我要学像他们，不论在任何环境都要赞美主

最后，我希望你们都做我的见证人，这次短宣不会是个句号，我期望神给我更多的机会，到有需要福音的地方去。短宣不只是服侍或单方面的付出，却也能让自己收获更多。我祷告求神赐给我们都有一颗肉心，也除去石心，让我们学习去爱那些我们不认识的人，爱人的灵魂。更为主的缘故，传扬神的慈爱和救恩给世界每个角落。

I am planning a trip to Langkawi, don't know when yet. Last time i visited was 10 years ago. I really miss those time my dad rented a car and we drove around the island and stopped by the road for durian.

This coming trip i want to bike around the island!!! Sounds great right? haha. Hoping that the island is still as stunning as 10 years ago la.

Ian's  parents went to Cambodia for one-week mission trip and they bought me so  many souvenirs. From the photos you can see, i got a handmade fan which  good for a country like Malaysia, a hammock for me to hang on the palms  trees in my house' compound. I  also got a Cambodian ruby necklace [no photo uploaded] which i think it fits best with night  dress. Love it.  Beforehand, i will need to test the  durability of the hammock because  it doesn't look like one. haha. Thank you Uncle & Aunty!

Where do i even began?

It's just like happened yesterday. Alright I am gonna announced a big news of mine. My bf, Ian proposed on 29 July and i said YES. I feel like saying ''after searching 24 years in a galaxy, finally I've found my Mr. Right..." haha indeed that's true. He is my Mr Right. I haven't been able to stop smiling since the special day, it's an overwhelming, immensely sweet feeling that I don't know how to put into words - This is why i delayed this post until today. For what i am sure is that I love him very much and that's the only reason i would say hundreds and million of 'yes' to his proposal.

On the day before the proposal, I was in a chat with Kath and she asked how do i love my marry proposal to be, i told her that i would like to have a private proposal and it will be best if my close friends are around to witnessed this special moment of mine. Ian really did threw me my dream proposal without knowing that i love the proposal this way. I love all the planning he did, love the ring, love the flowers, love all the tiny things he put together, love for family and friends' companionship, and there's still a long list to go here. I feel so blessed...[fly to the moon]

I never know he did so much planning before the propose and I am really touched. Well, i should say he is clever enough this time for not letting me sensed that he is gonna propose. I always clever enough to know the plan beforehand

Wisdom tooth extraction

This morning i attended Dr Aziz's clinic for my wisdom tooth extraction surgery, spent almost 2 hours in the surgery room, only one word i would like to tell - Painful. It was really really unbearable pain and i doubt if the injections were working. I have been given 6 injections and still could feel the pain till to the end of the whole process. How painful it was i know you can imagine. I kept thinking in my head, could i just run away. In fact, i didn't.

Now i am seeing myself abnormal, not only because i lost one piece of bone (the tooth) but also the uncontrollable drooling caused by the effect of excess anesthesia. So for now on, i can only have porridge, yogurt and ice-cream to accompany for the next 10 days.

Thanks to those who prayed for me:)

Specially thanks to my bf for his companionship and not forgotten the cook-himself-porridge and icecreams, thanks mum bought me the Excel Cactus juices which said to be the best healing drinks for wounds, and thanks Kath for her caring message early this morning. Thanks my sisters for the overseas message. And thanks Jie for asking "你拔牙了？"。 Love you all.

Grown up nightmare

It's all about my bottom left wisdom tooth, because I have been suffered pain from wisdom tooth growth and COUNTLESS night of sleeplessness[For you who knows me, i am very 'particular' about my sleeping quality].

Dentist has suggested me that it must be taken out because it is growing sideways and needs surgery- a 2-hours surgery. I will have my wisdom tooth extraction on the 30 June. Yeah, happy!? I am thankful for the time arrange because from i have been told, the appointment is already full until August. How great i am still be able to slot in although i will have to suffer pain for another half month. Grrr...

Very good business. I should insist on studying dentistry last time. Haha.

Hi everyone.

Haha i tried to start off with some catchy introduction here, as you can see, i failed. Oh well, i don't stop, read on. During my last visit to Sydney, I received feedbacks complaining about seeing 'Wicked' all the time they visited my blog. I guess it is time back to blogging again. Seriously i missed blogging. WICKEDly wonderful

I am always a Broadway Musical fan. Knew that WICKED is coming Sydney and kept hearing all the positive reviews around, how could i resist it!? so i bought the most expensive ticket and dragged some friends went. Well at first i was worried that it wouldn't live up to all the praise i had heard, but IT DID!!!! It was really awesome I was totally blown away. Oh surprisingly Bert Newton (right in the picture below) is on stage playing wizard in show, I has only saw him in TV. Amanda Harrison on his right is my favorite character of the night, playing "Elphaba". She's very pretty without green make-up, i saw her real person picture in the show booklet, well that signature green ROCKS too!!

俗语说的好，‘三个臭皮匠,等于一个诸葛亮’，可不是吗？我Construction Technique 组总共四人,等于1.25 个诸葛亮一下子就把assignment搞定！以下是本组proofread同学给予组员的意见，（￥粉好笑的]：

终于整理完了。。。。累死我了。。。。总结下；

1. GRACE是放最多sub heading的，都用到了heading 5了...
2. GRACE放的图片超级卡，有几张图片卡了我好几分钟，不知道为啥，每次到你那图片就卡。
3. GRACE每次都用MULTIPAL SPACE，调的累死我了。
4. JOVI是最爱玩弄图片跟文字排版的，调一下他的图片，整个版面就乱了，不知道他怎么放的，不信你们试试。还有很多都差点超出MARGIN了.
5. ROBIN是heading最少的...
6. 我是放最多REFERENCE的..哈哈!

I was so 'wowed' by the yellowish-dusty sky when i stepped out of my house this morning. As many of you knew and for those who don't know yet, Sydney experienced the worst duststorm ever in Australia. Read here. Too bad i missed the reddish sky which occurred in the earlier morning.

G: Hmm still alright, but i reckon it's too much effort workload and time consuming.

...The conversation went on but not important...

On the same day evening, i received an email notified the students the 4 hours-lecture for tomorrow is cancelled, How great!!! In the email he mentioned that he heard student complaining the heavy workload of this particular course... Of-course la got some other associated technical problem, however, don't know why i am delighted when i saw the lecturer takes my words into account. I guess this happens to everyone when others really listen.

Yeah i have more time for my thesis! Great!

Story under one roof

Under one roof, sometimes things can be very nasty. Landlady said something that pissed me off yesterday and it really upset me. I was at first wanna fight back but i didn't. (Luckily i didn't because i was emotional at that time) so i walked away and back to my room.

I can't get over it and i hope to clear things up and to make sure this will not happen again in the future, i prayed to God after that i wrote her a notes together with 2 goodies that EngPei gave. I can tell she might like them.

This isn't the end of the story yet. So the next day my landlady approached me and apologized , we then sat down and later it ended up us chithcating for an hour.Haha .. now i am happy, she is happy. Everyone is happy! Such sweet relief =)

Lived at new place for about one week now and landlady has also returned from Malaysia. Reformation has now begun. Hmm what should i say about her?!

Well she can be bossy sometimes, for eg 'like you cant do this or do that, don't put things here, don't buy these brocolli they are not fresh, and bla bla bla but i still can bear with it. She's still better than what i expected tho, at least make my life more oriented?!~!!!. Oh i shall say i enjoy the quiet environment and treasure the very good qualilty sleep at night which i have longing for so long. Worth it!!!!! And also, a nice housemate =P

这几天都一直想着家乡美食，特别特别想吃古晋烧包！Miri 也有的买烧包啦，可是古晋烧包比较好吃。我想不止这样，是想念家乡的人和事吧。特别是小凤，她现在还昏迷不醒，真的很叫人担心！我不能为她作什么，只能为她祷告和叫更多人为她祷告。

昨天我们救恩家的弟兄姐妹在祷告会也特别纪念她并为她祷告，之后牧师带领大家同心祷告，当大家最后同声说阿门的时候，那种的肯定及顾念的心意真的让我很感动很安慰。我想小凤知道的话一定会更加努力战斗病魔，醒过来。

Very sad and worried because mum told me XiaoFong( She's my churchmate in Miri, and we went to Youth fellowship everyweek together) has a stroke on her right side of body and couldnt speak. Latest update was that she is unconscius now. [Sigh-ing] Life is so unpredictable...

Today i had received an email from Mee. In the replied email, I share a bible verse with her and at the same time also a reminder for myself.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves in heaven. (Matthew 6:19-20)

Everything on earth is temporary and we should put our eyes for God's kingdom and eternity because pleasing God is all that matters.

*Please pray for XiaoFong! Hope to hear good news from her and pray that God comforts her family. Amen

整个semester都在马不停蹄地为我的thesis打拼，来来回回consult了很多次supervisor, 也交了很多的东西，常常都是信心满满的去，通常呢都偏体鳞伤的离开他的办公室。上个星期把 task 1 和 task 2 一起交了，一直都在等待supervisor的 comment，心里头很担心很紧张我都没跟别人说，我想不太会表达，也不太愿意把自己不开心的事告诉别人吧。

终于，今天得到replied，评语还不赖哦！哈哈！！！还叫我keep going ...真的很开心，爽啊!!! 真的 have to keep going 还要keep it up 叻。I am expecting a thumbs-up like this next time!!!!Wuakaka！

Wine Yes or No?

Well i thought i am okay to drink wine since last time i thought i have wine-allergy and who knows...

I went to El Bulli Spanish Restaurant with Kath and Sandra. I had 2-3 glasses of Sangria (Spanish wine) yesterday then developed red allergy patches on different parts of my body as well as stuffy nose and a bit shortness of breath. Hmm I guess it must be something about the wine. I think i may only react to wines that have the higher level of sulfites (sometimes i am alright when i drink wines).

Today i slept till very late until i was conscious because yesterday i didn't have a good night sleep at all. As the topic rightly suggested -> wine YES or NO ? Things to ponder....

Quality vs quantity fellowship

Cell group of mine had gathering at my place tonight, we watched a Christian-themed drama called 'The Miracle Box'. Although we only had 4 members joined, but i personally think that it was good enough, i really thank God for this number '4'. Well not saying that i wasn't ambitious enough but i learn (or choose) to focus on the quality time the group spent together; but not merely worry about the number of people joining. I strongly believe that God has his own plan, we don't need to worry about that part, we as His disciple we just need to do our own part, the rest we just leave it to God.

After the movie we had a little time sharing part. Sitting on the carpeted floor, with the light turned off and only had a tiny dim light of a candle, we shared and prayed for each other. Everyone enjoyed and we all went home with a refreshed heart.

Thanks God for the precious moment we had today, i sing praise to the Lord ^^

Australian Ballet :The Nutcracker - The story of Clara

A friend invited me to watch this classical Graeme Murphy's Nutcracker - The Story of Clara at Sydney Opera House on Friday evening, performed by Australian Ballet, with Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. The story is about a Russian ex-ballerina, her dream brought her back to the the time of her rich and eventful dancing life during her young age. There we seen a lot of stunning ballet performance which are luscious and breath-taking.

We had really perfect seating in the theatre, we sat on fourth row and right in the middle. How great! This is my first time watched ballet performance, a totally stunning showpiece of performance. Love it =P

This is my final year and i am doing thesis writing this year. Quite nervous at first because it is totally new things for me.

Met with my thesis supervisor today and showed him what i have done so far...All good=P Thanks God he's been helpful and supportive...Hope things will go smoothly onwards. A lot of works ahead that need to be done, research, readings, borrow books, returning books, carrying books back home...etc...

I have to learn to enjoy the challenge :)

Anyohaseyo!!!!!I'm just back from South Korea yesterday!!!

Everything is really excellent..the food, the accommodation, the people, the tour guide, the assigned tour leader, the photographer, the shopping, sightseeing etc...except for one thing... i fell sick during the last day of the trip and till now i am still not 100% recover yet! There gone all my 'Bainian' mood.

hmm as someone said to me that i must be eaten too much during the trip, oh well , judging from the body weight scale at home, i did not gain weight after the trip lea...oh well i have to admit that i did ate a lot of Kimchi. haha..For me, Kimchi and Korea steam rice (Korean Bab) good enough to satify my appetite. oh for those who doesnt know this. Kimchi is one of the healthiest food in the world!!!check this out!

Last time family and i (except my youngest sis-Chaijie) visitied South Korea was 10 years ago, when i was still in primary school. It’s amazing to me how quickly time passes. Now, I am already in the 20++ age group eii.oh my oh my~~This time we joined the 8 days 6 night tour, depart from KK using Asiana Airline.

Last Friday the party hosted @ my place was a great success. We had 15 guests coming, bringing nice and tasty yum yum great food. thanks people! It was a great night i would say!Lots of yummy food, lots of laugh, lots of game, everyone had great time...!!!I would like to thanks someone (you know who you are) who helped me to carry those really ubersuperduber heavy stuffs all the way from somewhere far far far to my place, and thanks so000 much for coming earlier to help me setting up the place etc..really apppeciate it!![hugs]!and thanks to Dearie Yandy who dotes on me a lot who insisted to carry those heavy steamboat food for me and i only need to carry some lightweight stuffs.. I am so blessed. (Thanks guys!!!)

Woohoo i am so excited about Shabu Shabu party Tomorrow! Here's my time plan for dinner party @ 6.30pm tomorrow.

Defrost food from fridge.

Buy raw meat, fresh veges, mushrooms and tofu etc.

Marinated the meat.

Soak the dried rice noodles
Prepare dipping sauce.

Prepare pork and prawn dumplings.

Prepare steamboat stock.

Prepare mixed veges
Prepare drinks

Butter and cook the sweet corns in oven.
Tidy up the place. Get ready for guest coming.

hmm [finger crossing] i am still thinking how to make the steamboat soup stock myself-a special and yummy one i am saying here! Any idea anyone?!Mixed Asian veges soup which is healthier? or squid and ginger mushroom soup which taste more aromatic and sweet? hmm... Anyway hope it will be a good one for me and for my guest ! Can't wait can't wait !!!!

I am exhausted tired and blur blur ady~dunno~everything seems to be slow motioned...!din sleep yesterday because groupmates & i were rushing on a very hard assignment and very heavy its weight 80% ner no kidding hor..We all stayed overnight rush rush rush...at last...all done!phew~

well i think i better go to bed now...ZZzZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Today i accidentally cut my middle finger somewhat deep [i nearly fainted seeing so much blood...gosh], it kept bleeding and till now it still hurts tho. well m alright now after housemate Edith helped me to clean the wound and bandaged my finger..she's so sweet...she even cooked chinese medicine drink for me. she said it is good for produce blood or something. HEARTWARMING~!

Okay this is how it happened when i back home today, after took shower, then i wanna prepared something to eat and had something to throw away. Who knows the rubbish bin is already full of rubbish so i tried to compact the rubbish who knows there was a food tin inside and then [grace nearly cried because it was sooooooo painful]. u know how the story went on liao la right? HAHA

So yeap i am now a Single-handed heroin 独手侠（Elaine 给的称号), i have to take on the world single-handed from now on- assignment-ing, MSN-ing, eating, bathing, and bla bla bla...also cant eat this cant eat that. SIGH~独手“虾”可怜咯，要戒口了~~~
